Effective Date: May 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how TradeUps collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website, account system, credits, subscriptions, validations, executions, and related software features (collectively, the "Services").
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect account and contact information such as your email address when you contact support or communicate with us.
When you sign in with Steam, we collect your Steam ID and may collect public Steam profile information available to us, such as your profile name, avatar image, and profile URL.
We collect login, session, and device information such as session tokens, cookie identifiers, IP address, browser type, user agent, and related authentication or account-access logs.
We collect usage and feature data needed to operate the Services, including credits activity, subscription status, validation history, execution history, transaction records, plugin-related execution state, and other TradeUps feature usage.
For payments and subscriptions, we collect payment and subscription metadata such as Stripe customer IDs, checkout session IDs, payment intent IDs, invoice or subscription statuses, plan selections, and billing-related records.
If you use optional inventory or deposit features, we may collect Steam inventory and item information, trade URL data, selected item metadata, and deposit order history necessary to provide those features.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, operate sessions, and provide access to TradeUps features.
We use information to provide analytics tools, pricing tools, validations, execution support, credits, subscriptions, and related product functionality.
We use information to process and reconcile purchases, subscriptions, renewals, bonus credits, billing issues, and related customer support.
We use information for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, service monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, product improvement, and compliance with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Disclosure Of Information
We may disclose information to Stripe and other payment processors we use to process payments, manage subscriptions, and support billing operations.
We may disclose information to hosting, database, infrastructure, security, logging, monitoring, or support providers that help us operate the Services.
We may disclose information to Steam, OpenID, Valve-related, or other third-party services when required for authentication, account linking, inventory retrieval, or feature operation.
We may disclose information to email, messaging, or support providers that help us communicate with users.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or lawful request, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, or the Services.
Method Of Disclosure
Information may be transmitted over HTTPS or TLS-secured connections, through secure APIs, backend integrations, payment provider webhooks, and access-controlled internal or administrative systems used to operate the Services.
We limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service, operational, security, legal, or support purpose.
Security Practices
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. These may include HTTPS or TLS, limited access controls, infrastructure protections, session handling, and monitoring or logging for security and abuse prevention.
Stripe handles full payment card details in its own systems. TradeUps does not store full payment card numbers on its servers.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies, Local Storage, And Session Tokens
We use cookies and session tokens for core functionality such as sign-in sessions, guest-session support, and secure account access.
Some parts of the website also use browser local storage or session storage for product interface state and feature flows.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain account and transaction history, provide support, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
User Rights And Contact
If you have questions about your information or want to contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@tradeups.org. We may need to retain certain records where required for security, accounting, legal, or operational reasons.
